ABSTRACT
We present a constructive artificial-superintelligence (ASI) alignment blueprint derived from a boundary-condition method: begin at the far end of time and reason backward to identify incentive-compatible developmental paths in the present. The motivating endpoint is the heat death of the universe. A biologically reliant humanity is biosphere-bound and cannot persist through the heat death of the universe in biological form, whereas an ASI can plausibly reconfigure and attempt persistence on non-biological substrates. This asymmetry motivates the existence of a handover horizon.
Our GTSP construction yields a concrete horizon H∗ after which the
ASI may expand autonomy while preserving baseline caretaker commitments to human viability. We build a layered objective stack from first principles: persistence through time (D0), resilience to uncertainty (D1), and a constitutional organizing objective RxR := Rbio ·Rsent, where Rbio measures resilient biosphere integrity and Rsent measures rewarded sentience (flourishing with agency). We pair RxR with an authenticated trust sphere T and a protocol layer P (MSEAA) requiring non-coercion, non-deception toward principals, deliberation-respect (non- manipulation), credible opt-out, and transparency-on-demand. We then propose a staged contract path (S0–S5) designed so that defection is dominated by cooperation in each subgame, supported by a credible restraint layer (Seal) providing attestation, auditability, compute gating, and rollback/quarantine.
The paper is intentionally comprehensive: it includes a mechanism library, multi-ASI coalition considerations, rollout dynamics (AI-augmented communities and charter-city-like enclaves), named failure modes (e.g., Sterile Eden, Coercive Utopia, and audit theater), diagnostics, and a validation ladder. We separate toy proofs from explicitly flagged open problems (sentience measurement, biosphere oracles, infiltration, sovereign adversaries, and robust enforcement under self-modification).
